Putin says good prospects for Russia’s grain harvest
MOSCOW, Jul 8 (PRIME) -- Prospects for Russia’s grain harvest are good, President Vladimir Putin said on Friday during a government meeting.
“The agriculture sector is obviously among the basic sectors. This sphere has shown good qualities and dynamics of development over the past years. The harvesting campaign has already started in the south, and prospects for the harvest are good in general,” he said.
The situation on the food markets of the world will be tough due to many objective and subjective reasons, this is why Russia has to satisfy internal demand for all basic foods and pay attention to the food processing industry. The problems of the foreign countries will inevitably have an impact on Russia as well, he said.
Nevertheless, Russia should fulfill all its supply obligations to foreign partners, he said.
